During an evening ceremony on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, Pearl River High School proudly inducted 34 students into the English Honor Society, as well as 61 students into the Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society. Pictured are the PRHS English and Social Studies department teachers, along with the 2016 student officers of the respective honor societies.
Four PRHS students were selected as finalists in the annual Nikon Photography contest. Over 16,00 entries were accepted. Winners include John Doe, senior, Jane Smith, senior, Jack White, sophomore, and Jill Black, freshman. View their photographs below.

Congratulations to Coach Allison DeRosa and the Pearl River High School Cheerleaders who won the small school, large school division in the first-ever NYS Cheerleading Championships in Syracuse.
Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! I hope you had a great summer and that our students and their families are ready to return to the business of learning. Our dedicated staff has been working hard to prepare for another amazing school year, building on the success and accomplishments of last year.
I am thrilled for another opportunity to work together with you to help our students not only reach, but exceed their educational goals. I am a lifelong educator inspired by a steadfast commitment to students and families, a love of learning, and the ability to solve problems. I have been a classroom teacher and a dean, and I am excited about my new role as principal. I am eager to foster and maintain lasting relationships with every member of the IDEA community. Due to recent changes in the FASFA, you could be losing money if you don't start the financial process by the student's Sophomore Year of High School. The OCSD summer reading program is on! Read a book, write a short summary. For each summary you submit you will be entered into a drawing for a iPad mini.
Every Wednesday throughout the summer the district will host a fireworks at the Jefferson High School. Bring your chairs, sit back and enjoy!
The regular school board meeting originally scheduled for June 14th has been rescheduled for June 28th at the regular time of 6pm.
